Description
View from Eberhart Trail Little River is unique because it flows for most of its length atop Lookout Mountain in northeast Alabama. Forested uplands, waterfalls, canyon rims and bluffs, pools, boulders, and sandstone cliffs offer settings for a variety of recreational activities. Natural resources and cultural heritage come together to tell the story of the Preserve, a special place in the Southern Appalachians.

Atlanta to Fort Payne
Take I-75 North. Take Exit #290 toward Rome - go 0.3 miles. Turn left on GA-20 WEST - go 2.3 miles. Turn left on N Tennessee St/ US 411 - go 0.1 miles. Bear right onto Joe Frank Harris Parkway SE - go 3.0 miles. Take ramp onto US 411 South toward Rome - go 18.9 miles. Take ramp onto US 27 North toward ROME - go 3.3 miles. Continue on Shorter Avenue/ GA 20 - go 4.3 miles. Continue to follow GA 20 West - go 12.7 miles. GA 20 West becomes AL9 - go 4.9 miles. Turn right on AL35 - go 14.4 miles. You are now in the Preserve.
Birmingham, Alabama to Fort Payne, Alabama
From the Airport Exit, Turn left on I-59 North toward Gadsden/Atlanta - go 92.2 miles. Take Exit # 222 / US 11 toward Fort Payne - go 0.2 miles. Turn right on US 11 / Greenhill Blvd. - go 1.1 miles. Go straight at red light (Foodland Grocery). On US11/ Gault Avenue North - go .02 miles and you’ll arrive at Park Headquarters. Watch for it on your left (across from Smith Wheels Car Lot).
Chattanooga, Tennessee, Alabama to Fort Payne, Alabama
Starting on W Martin Luther King Blvd., go 0.3 miles. Turn right on US 27 - go 1.1 miles. Take ramp onto I-24 West Exit toward Nashville/Birmingham - go 10.2 miles. Take left Exit #167 onto I-59 South toward Birmingham - go 39.0 miles. Take Fort Payne Exit #222 - go 0.2 miles. Turn left on Greenhill Blvd. NW/ US 11 - go 1.1 miles. At red light by Foodland Grocery, go straight onto Gault Avenue North / US 11- go 0.3 miles. Park Headquarters is on the left across from Smith Wheels Car Lot

From I-565 East - go 2.1 miles. I-565 East becomes US 72 East - go 38.0 miles. Take ramp onto Veterans Drive / AL 35 toward Fort Payne - go 2.2 miles. Turn right to follow AL 35 South - go 24.4 miles. Bear left on US 11 - go 2.6 miles. Arrive at Park Headquarters.

Take I-65 North Exit toward Birmingham - go 78.6 miles. Take Exit #250 onto I-459 North toward Gadsden/Atlanta - go 18.1 miles. Take Exit #33B onto I-59 North toward Gadsden - go 84.7 miles.
