Gracious old oaks cast long shadows over the streets of historic port city, Mobile, a destination noted not only for its Southern charms but also its fresh seafood.
The Apex Open Space Trail Complex features great mountain bike riding for intermediate to advanced level riders, just outside Golden.
A maze of trails awaits riders in the Apex Trail Complex. The trails feature climbing opportunity for those wanting to get an aerobic workout in and short but enjoyable downhill sections on singletrack. There is some loose trail surface and rocky sections in the Apex Trail Complex that add challenge to the rides here.
Riders can mix and match trails to suit their riding ability. Some trails are more aerobic and feature uphill climbing from their start, while others have challenging rock gardens, including some larger rock drops which can be portaged by a quick hike-a-bike.
The Apex Trail complex is popular with Golden locals and visitors alike and hikers are frequently encountered along the way. Riders should plan accordingly during weekends and popular riding hours.
